My Approach
My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion and respect for my clients unique needs and goals. I work with a lot of sensitives, creatives and helpers who are seeking more ease, embodiment and connection in their lives. Many clients I support are interested in understanding themselves on a deeper level, which may include exploring their emotions, beliefs, relational patterns, childhood wounds, intergenerational wounds and more. I use a holistic approach that is both brain and body-based in order to help heal the root of your issues.
I have experience supporting folks dealing with anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and various forms of trauma including childhood trauma, life transitions, mood changes, grief and more. I draw on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and feminist to create a welcoming space.

Services
Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling: I offer psychotherapy and counselling sessions for individuals aged 18 and above. I integrate a range of approaches from Somatic Experiencing®-supporting nervous system regulation, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-helping you connect and heal the inner parts of your psyche, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)- reprocessing distressing memories and reducing their impact, and Relational & Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy-supporting growth, insight, and integration. Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and goals. I have both in person availability for those that are local and virtual availability for residents of Ontario.

Integrative Somatic Touch: Somatic touch is a gentle, body-based therapy that integrates Somatic Experiencing®, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Using safe, non-invasive touch, it helps regulate the nervous system, release stored stress, and restore a sense of safety and connection to the body. This work supports boundary repair, early attachment healing, discharging stress, and integration of mind and body. In sessions you remain fully clothed and we move at a pace that feels safe for you. Consent and collaboration are at the heart of this work. Together, we listen to the body's wisdom and create space for healing at a deeper level than talk therapy sometimes allows.

Clinical Supervision: I am a CRPO approved Clinical Supervisor and provide Clinical Supervision for Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying). I offer Clinical supervision privately through Blooming Lotus Counselling and also through RWC Launch at Realign Wellness Centre for our intern therapists. I offer both in person or virtual meetings. I am happy to have a free consultation to see if it feels like a good fit.

“If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door. If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door. If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.”

More Information
Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing® is a gentle, non-cathartic approach to working with the effects of trauma and chronic stress. This approach is not centered around talking about trauma but rather it helps to facilitate the body's innate capacity for healing by rebuilding regulation and coherence in the nervous system. Simply put, we slow things down enough in the present, for the body to complete innate self-protection responses and gently release traumatic shock.
Although we cannot change the past, we can re-negotiate the relationship to our experience in the present. Traumatization occurs when our capacity to cope through something, is overwhelmed because it "too much, too fast" for us to process in our brains and bodies. In re-negotiating trauma, slowing down and building a sense of safety or "friendliness" with our bodies, is a necessary first step to allow this capacity to show up in order to restore the health and vitality of our whole system. This work is truly profound and it is my absolute honour and passion to help others through this approach.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR stands for Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that uses bilateral stimulation through eye movements, tapping, sounds, or holding hand buzzers to stimulate your brain's innate ability to heal a wide variety of issues. This approach involves preparing for, identifying and working through specific traumatic memory targets so that they no longer carry charge or create distress. The approach is very structured and protocol-based, and can be used in combination with other approaches.
EMDR can be used to treat experiences of trauma in all forms including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), vicarious trauma, and more. It is also very effective in working with deeply rooted beliefs that can keep us stuck such as issues of self worth. Additionally, it can be used to develop inner resources, desensitize fears of emotions or memories, treat anxiety and depression.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) or Parts Work Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a compassionate approach to healing by recognizing that we all have different “parts” within us. For example, you might have a part that feels confident and capable, and another part that feels scared or critical. These parts aren’t random; they develop to help us navigate life and protect us, especially during difficult times. Sometimes, though, these parts can become stuck in old patterns, like a protective part that feels like it still has to keep us safe in ways that no longer work.
IFS helps you gently get to know these parts, understand their roles, and build a relationship with them from a place of curiosity and care. At the center of it all is your “Self”—the calm, compassionate core of who you are. In IFS, you learn how to connect with this core Self to heal wounded parts and bring balance to your inner system. It’s not about getting rid of parts of yourself but helping all the parts work together in harmony. This process can bring a sense of deep relief and empowerment, as you learn to listen to and care for your whole self.
